BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) Parish health units around Louisiana will host walk-in vaccination clinics for the swine flu this week.

State health officials said Monday they are receiving reports that hospitals and doctors' offices have recently seen an increase in flu-like illnesses.

No appointments will be needed for the H1N1 vaccinations at the parish clinics this week and there will be no charge.

DHH stresses the need for people in certain target groups to get vaccinated: children aged six months through 24 years, pregnant women, health care workers, parents and caregivers of children less than 6 months old, parents and caregivers of people with physical and developmental disabilities, and adults uner 65 with pre-existing medical conditions.
