Wa-Zoo, a women's clothing and accessory store in downtown Lafayette has shut its doors, but the owner will keep the business running online. After 13 years in business, Noelle Reed is closing up shop and staying home with her children. Wa-Zoo was originally located on University Ave., and after three years at that location, Reed relocated Wa-Zoo to Jefferson St. where it's been for the past 10 years. Although the store is closing, shoppers can still shop the Wa-Zoo website.
The store's last full day in operation was Jan. 19, but it's still open to shoppers looking for good deals on what's left. Reed is having a liquidation sale to get rid of fixtures and furniture. There's a lot to get rid of, considering the store is 5,000 square feet and three stories, she said. Shoppers can find deals on items like, old window decorations, tables, furniture, love seats, chairs, and mirrors. The store is open today until 3:30 and will reopen for the liquidation sale next week on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Reed owns the building and will be looking for a buyer or renter. For more information contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
