Virtual program takes shape for the 2012-13 school year

Students in St. Martin Parish will now be able to learn through a non-traditional approach. The school board decided at their December meeting that they would adopt a Virtual Program for the 2012-13 school year.

The program will allow student to take classes at home, but also be eligible to participate in all co-curricular and extracurricular school activities. The program includes students from grades 7th through 12th.

The site for the program will be at Breaux Bridge Junior High located next to the Health Center. It will be open all school days from 8 A.M. To 4 P.M. The location will also be open from 4 P.M. To 7 P.M., Monday through Thursday each school day.

An informational meeting will be held for parents and student to get more information about the Virtual Program. The meeting are scheduled at the following areas and times:

Cecilia Area: Tuesday, January 24, 6:00PM @ Cecilia High School

Breaux Bridge Area: Wednesday, January 25, 6:00PM @ Breaux Bridge High School

St. Martinville Area: Thursday, February 2, 6:00PM @ St. Martinville Senior High School
