Victims in school bus crash transported to seven different hospitals

Some Lafayette High parents are beginning to show up to get their sons following an accident on Highway 90. The players are being interviewed by police now. We're told the some of the students are suffering from minor injuries; an adult on the bus is said to have serious injuries.

Lafayette High Senior Baseball Player, Drew Colowich says, they were heading to Berwick High for a scrimmage. Colowich says, "a lot of the players, including myself have bloodied faces and broken noses. Hats off to the bus driver for somehow not letting the bus flip."

Transportation Director Damon Evans says in total 13 students and one LHS coach are injured.

We're told the victims went to the following hospitals:
2 by ambulance to Dauterive Hospital in New Iberia
2 by ambulance to Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette
2 by ambulance to Franklin Foundation
2 by Air Med to Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette
1 by Air Med to Thibodaux Regional
1 by Air med to Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge
2 by ambulance to Iberia Medical Center

School officials were told the vehicle involved in the crash with the bus crossed the center line after having a blowout. The bus was hit head-on, according to school officials. Four people in the passenger vehicle were killed. Once again this crash is on Highway 90 in the Centerville area.
