Victim Robbed of Puppies, Cell Phone and Backpack

LAFAYETTE, La. (KATC) - Police are looking for a man after another man was robbed at gunpoint on Moss Street Thursday night.

On March 28, 2013, at 10:45 pm, Lafayette Police responded to the 1100 block of Moss Street regarding an armed robbery. Police say the victim met with the suspect for the potential sale of two pit bull puppies he owned. After negotiating with the suspect for several minutes, the suspect produced a handgun and stole the victim's puppies, cellphone and backpack. Police say the suspect fled the area and the victim was not injured during the incident. The suspect is described as a black male with a medium build.
