SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - The victim of a weekend stabbing in Shreveport has died.
Police say 56-year-old Roger Hines had been stabbed early Sunday morning. He was taken to a hospital with a wound that was initially reported to be non-life threatening. But police said Hines' condition deteriorated and he died Thursday afternoon.
Investigators said Hines and 58-year-old Roger Pugh had been involved in a dispute before the stabbing. Pugh was later booked with aggravated battery. A Shreveport police statement says detectives and the Caddo Parish District Attorney's Office will determine the appropriate charges now that Hines has died.
