LEESVILLE, La. (AP) - The Vernon Parish School Board will go ahead with bidding for construction of a school to replace South Polk Elementary.
Schools Superintendent Jackie Self tells The American Press that architects have completed plans for the school so the next step is to seek bids from contractors.
The $21 million South Polk Elementary School will replace the current campus on the grounds of Fort Polk.
Bids will be accepted until June 11. The contractor is expected by chosen at a School Board meeting later in the month.
