Vermilion Parish School is getting flood protection

A Vermilion Parish School is getting some much need flood protection.

7th Ward Elementary school will get building berms and flood walls that are about 5 feet high. The hope, of course is that the 2.1 million dollar project will prevent any future flooding of the school. No word on when exactly when work will begin.
