The Vermilion / Municipal task force made several drug-related arrests.
As Ian Nolan, 27, was arrested on three contempt warrants, agents said they found marijuana in his clothing. In addition to contempt charges, he's charged with possession of marijuana, and introducing illegal drugs into a penal facility.
Brandon Oliver, 31, is accused of trying to forge a prescription at a pharmacy in Vermilion Parish. Two other men with him ran when agents showed up at the pharmacy. Oliver, of Baton Rouge, is charged obtaining a controlled dangerous substance by fraudulent means.
After receiving complaints about drug sales at 905 E. St. in Kaplan, agents investigated and said they found a large amount of marijuana and several small bags of the drug. Kari Mallett, 34, is charged with possession with the intent to distribute marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Hilton Stewart, 24, was at the residence at the time of the bust and was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.
Antoher Kaplan man, Willie Robinson Jr., 48, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana second offense, and resisting arrest. Agents said Robinson kept driving after they tried to pull him over for a traffic violation. When he finally stopped, they said he had marijuana in his hand.
