FRANKLIN, La.- There is still time for organizations, veterans groups, churches, schools and local chapters of national organizations to become vendors for the summer movie series.
The City of Franklin needs a vendor to sell candy on July 4 and two vendors on August 3 - one to sell candy and one to sell popcorn or chips.
The first movie in the Movies in the Park Summer Movie Series will be "The Karate Kid," which stars Jaden Smith, Jackie Chan and Taraji P. Henson.
Broussard-Harris Park will open at 7:15 p.m., and the movie will begin at dusk on July 4.
Movie goers are allowed to bring blankets and chairs to sit on; however, no ice chests or alcohol will be allowed in the parks. Additionally, the only animals allowed in the parks are service animals for the disabled.
For more information about becoming a vendor, contact Arlana Shields in the Office of Community Development at 337-828-6345 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
