Vehicle Into Convenience Store

Sunday night, a St. Martin Parish man was booked into the parish jail, as a local convenience store cleaned up a big mess.
St. Martinville Police say Joseph Frank drove into Simmi's Mart Shell Station. The vehicle left a gaping hole in the building and threw groceries around.
It happened on South Main Street in St. Martinville.
Frank told police his vehicle went into the wrong gear and caused him to drive into the building, but tests revealed he was two times the legal limit.
Frank was booked for DWI and reckless operation of a vehicle.
