LAPLACE, La. (AP) - Louisiana State Police say a Florida couple
died when their motor coach went over a guardrail where Interstate
55 and Interstate 10 meet near Laplace.
Trooper Bryan Zeringue says the accident happened around 9:45
a.m. Monday.
Zeringue identified the victims as 72-year-old Joseph P.
Ridgedell and 68-year-old Felisa B. Mullins, both of Cantonment,
Fla.
The vehicle dropped an estimated 100 feet into swampy land
below. Zeringue said speed and alcohol are not suspected as
factors, in the crash, however, toxicology results are pending.
