Update: School Bus Accident in Lafayette

55-year old Warner Trosclair was cited for no proof of insurance, careless operation, suspended license and expired registration.

There were 15 kids on the bus.The students left from Lafayette High School. Some were released to their parents, otheres were taken home by another bus. William Samec with the Lafayette Parish School Board says the driver of the van was cited, not the school bus driver.


Update: Witnesses tell KATC the bus was full of teenage high school students when it collided with a van crossing Johnston Street at Bertrand. It is unclear who was at fault at this time. Witnesses at the scene say no kids were injured. Four vehicles were involved in the crash.


Lafayette Police are investigating a school bus accident at the corner of Johnston Street and South College Road in Lafayette. The bus headed south on South College collided with a white van. The bus was carrying Lafayette High School students. None of the students was injured. Another school bus was dispatched to pick up the students and take them home.
