Update on Murder suspect Marlon Mott

Crowley Police say Marlon Mott was extradited from Beaumont, Texas to the Acadia Parish Jail. Mott was booked on a warrant for 2nd Degree Murder.
Police say additional charges have been added at the time of his booking. Mott was charged as a convicted felon in possession of a firearm which related to the October 19, 2012 murder of Greginald Jones.
Police say Mott was also charged on an outstanding warrant for Distribution of Crack Cocaine. According to Chief K.P. Gibson this charge is not related to the October 19, 2012 incident.
