Update: No Injuries in Forked Island House Fire

A home in Forked Island was destroyed by a fire this afternoon.

Authorities say the fire happened at 20530 Leo Road in Vermilion Parish.

It took fire fighters about 45 minutes to put the fully engulfed house out. Someone was home at the time the fire broke out and there are no injuries to report.
