An update on the now nine LPD officers who have obtained a temporary restraining order against the LPD and Lafayette Consolidated Government. A new set of allegations has been filed and four new officers have been officially added to the case. The officer's attorney filed a new pleading saying Chief of Police, Jim Craft, has begun strategically retaliating against the officers after they filed their request for a restraining order. The alleged new retaliations include the demotion and transfer of Scott Poiencot, a representative of the civil service board. Similarly, the defendants, including Lafayette Consolidated Government, filed a response to the original allegations and temporary restraining order. The defendant's attorney claims there is no factual or legal basis for their case and the issuance of the temporary restraining order.
