Update: Lafayette Police Identify Stabbing Victim

UPDATE: Investigators have identified the victim of yesterday’s homicide as Edward Curtis (35) of Lafayette. The case remains under investigation.

Lafayette Police have arrested 27 year old Marcus Thomas in connection with Tuesday's stabbing death on Paul Breaux Street.
Thomas was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on 2nd Degree Murder Charges.
This case is still under investigation.

Lafayette Police are investigating a stabbing murder that took place in the 300 block of Paul Breaux Avenue.
The victim, whose identity was not immediately released, was pronounced dead on the scene.
The only information about the victim is that he was a 35-year-old black male.
