Update: Iowa School on Lockdown

The lockdown of the school was voluntary. It all started with a domestic dispute between a male and a female. The male fled on foot, and Iowa Police are searching for him. He is not believed to be armed or dangerous. The suspect's name has not been released.

Press Release: Iowa City Police have called for a lockdown at J.I Watson Middle School due to a domestic disturbance in the neighborhood. All students and faculty are safe. The lockdown will be lifted when deemed appropriate by local law enforcement.
