UPDATE: I-49 South Reopened; Northbound Still Closed Due to Overturned Tanker

I-49 South has reopened after a tanker carrying methanol overturned this morning. However, the northbound lanes of the highway between Exit 27 (the Lebeau/Washington exit) to Exit 40 (the Ville Platte exit) remains closed while state troopers and HazMat crews work to recover the tanker. State police say the tanker decabbed and overturned this morning after the truck drove off the road. The truck driver was not injured.
