Grand Coteau is under a boil advisory after a water line broke this morning. Town Clerk Denise Moore says the town's water quality is being tested at the Calcasieu Parish Health Unit in Lake Charles, and she expects results tomorrow.
In the meantime, residents should boil water if using it to make ice, brush teeth, rinse food, cook food or make fountain drinks. The advisory says bring water to a rolling boil then boil it for one minute.
Crews fixed the break, and water was restored in Grand Coteau early this afternoon.
