Update: Former St. Landry Parish School Board member John Miller testified against Quincy Richard in federal court this morning. He says, "I didn't even need the money, but I took it and the FBI met me outside." Miller says it wasn't his idea to ask for money, rather it was Richard's idea. Miller says Richard told him some "change could be made", insinuating money could be made off the superintendent election. Miller went on saying, "Richard needed to get some wheels for his car."
Court reconvened this morning in the federal trial of St. Landry Parish School Board Member Quincy Richard Sr. He is accused of trying to sell his vote in the search for a new school superintendent.
