FRANKLIN, La. (AP) - Franklin police found the bodies of a 75-year-old woman and 46-year-old man in their home after a Meals on Wheels delivery person called because nobody answered the partly open door.

St. Mary Parish Coroner Dr. F.H. "Chip" Metz says both died from blunt force trauma. Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire says their bodies were found about 11 a.m. Thursday. McGuire says Picard often rode her adult-sized tricycle downtown, and Guillory often walked with her.

Police are interviewing people who may have heard loud noises and seen people near the home about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. The last homicide in Franklin was in 2006.
