UPDATE: Early Morning House Fire in Crowley

A 2 alarm fire early this morning in the Rice City is now under control.

The fire broke out around 4:00am this morning at a two apartment home located in the Historic District in Crowley. The residents, one middle aged man and one elderly woman, are both safe with no injuries. The surrounding houses were evacuated, but are safe as well.

The fire is now under control.

Fire officials are on the scene of a major house fire in Crowley.

Several fire trucks were called to the blaze at 406 East 2nd Street early this morning. It is unknown at this time what is the cause of the blaze or if anyone was in the home.
