A 32-year-old Broussard man has died from injuries sustained in an early Sunday morning crash.
Broussard Police said the crash happened in the 6800 block of Ambassador Caffery Parkway around 2:00 a.m. Dustin Taylor was driving a 2006 Toyota Tundra east on Ambassador Caffery at a high rate of speed when for unknown reasons he traveled off the roadway, according to police. Taylor over-corrected, causing the vehicle to flip. Police said Taylor was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle. When police arrived to the scene, they said Taylor was unresponsive.
He was taken to the hospital with critical injuries where he was pronounced dead today.
Alcohol involvement is unknown at this time. Toxicology results are pending. No other vehicles were involved.
