Update: Bodies Found in Lafayette Home

Police were called to the home on Lebesque Road just after 4 p.m. They arrived to find two bodies, one male and one female, each with gunshot wounds. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. The bodies were found by a family member who had not heard from the victims all day. Four people live in the home and the other two are accounted for and are cooperating with police. There were no apparent signs of a struggle or signs of forced entry into the home. Police would not say whether a weapon was found at the scene. At this time, the victims are not being identified until family members can be notified. Police have not ruled this a homicide, but they are asking for anyone who was in the area between noon and 4 p.m. to call Crimestoppers at 232-TIPS.
