Update: Bank Robbery Suspect Leads Police on Chase

Lafayette Police confirm the bank that was robbed just after 3:00 this afternoon was the Home Bank on Ambassador Caffery, near Verot School Road. Police say the suspect was a heavy-set, white male who is suspected in the other bank robberies over the last three weeks. Police officers spotted a F250, similar to the one the bank robbery suspect drove. They attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Pinhook Road, when the suspect took off. There was a subsequent police-involved shooting near Queen's Row. State Police are now taking over this portion of the investigation.
