After years of failing profits, the last day for business at Albertsons on Evangeline Thruway is anticipated to be around Feb. 18. Over the last several years, the store has not been able to turn itself around, Director of Public Affairs and Communications Christine Wilcox said. A liquidation sale begins Jan. 11, and the company is working one-on-one with employees. "We anticipate that we will be able to place many store associates in nearby stores, while others may be eligible for company paid severance," Wilcox said.
Pharmacy customers should call the pharmacy to get information on what will happen with their prescriptions.
