Unusual Device Deemed Harmless

Today at 1:00 pm Lafayette Fire Department responded to a call concerning an unusual device.
Behind the Holiday Inn Express off Ambassador Cafferey, a person was spotted on a mobile phone with an unusual device. The man hid the device under some moss.
Special Equipment used to determine that the device was a plastic cylinder wrapped in duct tape and deemed harmless.
Evacuation was lifted and Jim Hummel will have more at 6.
