To say that the weather has been good the passed several days would be a major understatement, however, that is all about to change. Rainfall moved into Acadiana Monday afternoon, and the outlook over the next couple of days will be fairly wet as well.
Expect the rain to last Monday night into early Tuesday morning before a brief break in the action. The way everything is shaping up right now the rain looks to be slow and steady, and quite chilly as well which could have a small impact on our temperatures.
Although the clouds will remain in place, with only patches of sunshine peaking through, the rain will start to let up by Tuesday morning. Through most of Tuesday and Wednesday we won't see much in the way of rain, but it does return Wednesday night.
Wednesday night into Thursday morning we will get the next round of rain and a chance for some thunderstorms to be embedded in the system as well. Nothing that looks severre but don't rule out the occasional flash of lighting or rumble of thunder.
Unfortunately it does look like this unsettled patter will stay with us through Mardi Gras and although we will see the sun between now and then quick hitting systems seem to be on tap for the next several days.
