Unrestrained driver killed in Union Parish

FARMERVILLE, La. (AP) - State police say a single vehicle crash in Union Parish has claimed the life of a Marion man.

Troopers say a truck driven by 50-year-old Ronnie Baker ran off Alabama Landing Road Saturday night struck two trees, rolled over twice and caught fire.

Authorities tell The News-Star Baker was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Union Parish Coroner's Office.
