University Statement on Murder of UL Student

The University released this statement following the murder of a student at a home in the 300 block of McKinley Street:
"The University of Louisiana at Lafayette community is saddened by the loss of one of its students, Kenneth Paul Donnelly Jr. from Alexandria, La., who died Oct. 28. Kenny was a freshman. The university wishes to express its deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Kenneth Donnelly Jr."
Another student was beaten. He's listed in critical condition at a local hospital.
