United Way of Acadiana has named Jason Huffman as its director of impact strategies.
Huffman will be responsible for developing strategies to advance the common good in education, financial stability and safety net services. In this position, he will lead research efforts, develop programs supporting United Way of Acadiana's goals, implement new strategies to reach those goals, serve on coalitions and work closely with partners receiving PACT Grants.
Before joining the United Way of Acadiana staff, Huffman served as the Director of Strategic Initiatives at Georgia College & State University. In that role, he led the university's strategic planning process, managed software and data used in program and unit review and tracked measures that impact the university's state, regional and national reputation. Huffman completed a selective Executive Leadership Institute training program in 2009-2010 and served as President of the Old Capital Kiwanis Club in Milledgeville, GA, in 2005-2006.
A native of Dayton, OH, Huffman earned his bachelor's degree from Hiram College in Ohio, majoring in mathematics and music, with a specialty in trumpet performance. He earned his master's and doctoral degrees in mathematics from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
A husband and proud father of two sons, Huffman enjoys spending spare time with family, and also playing music and golf.
