HAMMOND, La. (AP) After recording a three-game sweep at Mississippi State last weekend, the Southeastern Louisiana University baseball team entered the national rankings for the first time in school history as the Lions were ranked No. 29 in the Collegiate Baseball poll.
Southeastern (7-0) earned its first-ever sweep of an SEC opponent after coming back twice from two-run deficits to claim a 6-5 win in Sunday's finale.
The Lions will host in-state rival Louisiana-Lafayette (5-1) on Wednesday before facing Texas Southern (4-4) in a three-game series beginning Friday.
