MONROE, La. (AP) - The University of Louisiana at Monroe is reducing its vice presidents from five positions to three.
ULM President Nick Bruno said the institution is doing away with the titles vice president for business affairs and vice president for university advancement and external affairs and will instead have a vice president for academics, a vice president of student affairs and an executive vice president.
The News-Star reports the executive vice president will replace the two former vice president positions and a chief business officer will be added to oversee a smaller span of control. The duties of the provost will be reorganized to fall under other appointments.
Bruno said the restructuring is expected to save ULM about $330,000 a year once it is fully implemented.
