LAFAYETTE, La. - The series opener between the top-ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns baseball team and WKU scheduled for 6 p.m. tonight at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field has been moved to Saturday due to thunderstorms with lightning forecasted in the Lafayette area.
The National Weather Service in Lake Charles is predicting thunderstorms with lightning in the area between 6-11 p.m.
The two teams will play a doubleheader Saturday with the first game starting at 2 p.m. The second game is slated to start at 6 p.m. at the Tigue.
Tickets for both the Friday and Saturday contests will be honored. The first game of the doubleheader will be broadcast on myKLAF-TV. Both games can be heard on KPEL 96.5 FM.
Sunday's contest has also been moved up to noon to accommodate travel for Western Kentucky.
