LAFAYETTE, La. - The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns softball program will host LSU-Alexandria and Lamar University in a pair of fall exhibition games this coming weekend at Lamson Park. The Cajuns will take on LSU-Alexandria on Saturday, October 12 at noon, and Lamar on Sunday, October 13 at 2 p.m.
Saturday's game will be the "THINK PINK BREAST CANCER
AWARENESS GAME." Please support "Fight Like A Girl" Cancer Awareness Day by wearing pink to the game! If you do not have pink, the Cajuns softball team will be selling "Fight Like A Girl" - pink t-shirts in honor of all family and friends that have battled Cancer. Donations will be accepted at the gate, and the Ragin' Cajuns invite all cancer survivors to be honored pregame at 11:30 on the field.
On Sunday, the team will be hosting a Canned Good Food Drive in conjunction with the Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans & Acadiana.
The team will be accepting donations and canned goods, at the gate with the help of the UL Ragin' Cajuns Student Athlete Advisory Committee. Please help us fill their shelves with your generous donations. Come out to the park and support the Ragin' Cajuns softball team as well as two great causes, and get a warm up for what you will see on the field for the 2014 Softball season. The 2014 season kicks off on Friday, February 7, when the Ragin' Cajuns play host to the Texas Longhorns at 4:00 p.m. in the 2014 Louisiana Classic
