Two UL football players have been kicked off the team after being arrested on sexual battery charges. Police say 20-year-old Darrell Green and 22-year-old Eric Ferguson fondled the victim while riding together in a car. The victim told police the incident happened after she and several friends decided to go to a store following a night of socializing and drinking in her dorm. The case remains under investigation.

UL head football coach Mark Hudspeth released the following statement: "I expect the young men who represent the university as members of the Ragin' Cajuns football team to always conduct themselves in a appropriate manner. If they cannot follow the core values that we expect them to live by, then they can no longer be part of this program. The decisions that Darrell and Eric have made unfortunately make it necessary for me to remove them from the team,"
