Fans have already started tailgating for Saturday's Ragin' Cajun football game. For a few Cajun fans, getting set up to tailgate is only adding to the holiday weekend.
"I'm kind of sleep deprived right now, kind of tired, but enjoying the weather, enjoying the family and friends," Guinn said.
The past 24 hours have kept Joe Guinn on the go. After celebrating thanksgiving with the family, he went out to Best Buy during Black Friday shopping to get what he needed for the Christmas season.
"It wasn't that bad. You know I was expecting much worse. I went in, I went out and got everything I need," he said.
But a full day of food and shopping didn't stop him from coming out and getting a head start to support the Cajuns.
"Tomorrow is game time. I'll be ready I promise you. I don't need any sleep for that. I'm looking forward to it buddy."
For Ronnie Louviere, work kept him from enjoying Cajun football, but now that he is retired, he can enjoy everything the game has to offer.
"It's great. That was the number one thing on my bucket list was to get season tickets and tailgate at UL," Louviere said.
Even with a busy holiday, he's ready to enjoy a Ragin' Cajun victory tomorrow.
"Definitely be ready for kickoff I guarantee you that. I'm old enough now I don't get drunk I just drink."
Tomorrow's game against the University of South Alabama kicks off at 4 p.m.
