Typical summer weather is expected for Acadiana this week with mostly sunny, hazy, hot and humid conditions anticipated along with a very slight chance of an afternoon showers and/or thunderstorm.
Rain chances will likely stay in the 10-20% range through Thursday while daytime highs continue to top out in the mid-90s.
A weakness in the dominant ridge of high pressure may develop Friday into the weekend allowing for a few more afternoon/evening showers and thunderstorms during this time.
The tropics remain very quiet.
