Two phases left of Louisiana Ave. extension project

Two more phases are left to be completed in the Louisiana Avenue extension project. Currently, crews are working on the extension that runs from Maryview Farm Rd. to Butcher Switch Rd. Project Engineer Jessica Cornay says the road should be open within six months, weather permitting.
The next phase will pick up from there and run to Gloria Switch. Tomorrow, LCG Public Works employees will meet with utility companies to discuss potential conflicts that may come up when completing the road. LCG is trying to acquire right-of-way from property owners since a roundabout is planned at the corner of Louisiana Ave. and Gloria Switch Rd. If all goes as planned, construction on this phase would begin next year.
