Two men wanted for robbery on Jefferson Street

Victims Robbed at Gunpoint in Parking Lot

On November 19, 2009, at approximately 1:00 am, two victims were standing by a vehicle behind a business in the 400 block of Jefferson Street when they were approached by two black males. One of the suspects produced a handgun and demanded the victim's valuables. The suspects stole a wallet, purse and a cell phone before fleeing on foot towards East Congress Street. The victims, a 24 year old male of Port Barre and a 26 year old female of Lafayette, were not injured during the incident.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the suspect to call the Lafayette Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
