Two men are accused of stealing almost $20,000 of lawn equipment from an Acadiana school.
On February 13, 2013, Deputies with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office responded to a burglary and theft complaint of $18,000.00 worth of lawn equipment at the Episcopal School of Acadiana, located off of Smede Highway in St. Martinville, La.
According to authorities, 95% of the stolen items were recovered after securing a search warrant for a residence located at 1745 Duchamp Road. Sean Snelson, 29, Broussard, was placed under arrest and booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center
on the following charges:
Burglary and Theft over $1500.00.
On February 14, 2013, Investigators served an Arrest Warrant at the residence of Brandon Labiche, 28, 1106-D Mustang Dr., St. Martinville. According to authorities, evidence was also located at Labiche's residence further indicating his involvement of the theft and burglary at the school.
Labiche was arrested without incident and booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on the following charges:
Burglary and theft over $1500.00.
All of the property that was recovered by the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office was returned to the Episcopal School of Acadiana.
