Parts of two main roads in Younsgville are closed for at least the next 3 months.
Abridge is being repaired on Chemin Metairie and a round-a-bout is being added on Bonin Rd. Officials say the 1-million dollar projects needed to be worked on at the same time. They say, oil prices are rising and had they waited, contractors would have charged them more.
On top of that, delaying a project would just extend construction time in the city. Right now, they're just asking for people's patience and understanding. They say leave a little earlier in the morning and follow detour route posts.
