Two charged in connection with convenience store armed robbery

Two Sulphur women are behind bars in connection with a Wednesday morning convenience store robbery.

Investigators say 36-year-old Latisha Lebouef grabbed the clerk by her hair and put a knife to her throat while demanding money. Lebouef allegedly got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. She is charged with armed robbery and aggravated kidnapping.

A second person, 43-year-old Belinda Ellender, is charged with accessory after the fact and obstruction of justice for allegedly knowing about the robbery and not reporting it to police.

Both are being held in the Calcasieu Parish Jail. Lebouef's bond is set at $200,000, while Ellender's bond is set at $50,000.
