Two Arrested for Domestic Abuse; One Also Charged with Hitting 3 Month Old

A Welsh man and woman are behind bars for fighting in front of a child. Deputies responded to a disturbance at 18315 Ardoin Cove Road, in Welsh, on Christmas Eve. Deputies say they found Charles Joseph Carnahan, 35, and Rebecca Ann Soileau,34, involved in a dispute. Both of them were arrested, charged with Domestic Abuse Battery and Domestic Abuse Battery in presence of a juvenile. Soileau was also charged with Second degree Battery on a juvenile for striking a 3 month old child during the altercation. Both were transported to Jefferson Davis Parish Jail and booked on the above charges.
