Two Arnaudville men arrested in connection with beating

On April 20, 2011, the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office responded to Robin St. in the Arnaudville area in response to a fight in progress. Upon Deputies arrival, they located a 51 year old man lying in the roadway bleeding from injuries he sustained to his head.
Today, following an investigation into the matter, Deputies with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office arrested Roland Rivette Jr., 32, and Kunta Kinte Riggs, 33, of Arnaudville. Rivette was charged with Second Degree Battery and Riggs with Aggravated Second Degree Battery. Both were booked in the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center and are currently awaiting bond.
The victim is being treated at an area hospital and is in critical but stable condition.
