A U.S. official says initial reports indicate that two American citizens died in a suicide bombing inside a Western-style grocery store in the Afghan capital.
At least eight people, including five foreigners, died in the bombing in Kabul. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the bombing.
A senior U.S. official told The Associated Press that American security officers are working with Afghan security to establish identities and nationalities. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because reports were preliminary and the process of informing the victims' families was not complete.
