Two Acadiana men facing child porn charges

Two Acadiana men are accused of distributing child pornography by the Louisiana Attorney General's Office.

Investigators with the Cyber Crime Unit arrested 39-year-old Kenneth Poullard of Crowley; he was charged with 50 counts of possessing and a single count of distributing pornography involving juveniles.

Officials say the arrest was the result of a joint investigation involving the Louisiana Attorney General's Cyber Crime Unit, Homeland Security Investigations, Louisiana State Police, St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office and the Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office.

In a separate incident, 40-year-old Paul Ezra Campbell of Abbeville was arrested Thursday and booked into the Vermilion Parish Jail. Campbell is facing 21 counts of possessing and one count of distributing pornography involving juveniles. His arrest came following a joint investigation by the Attorney General's CCU, Homeland Security Investigations, St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office and the Vermilion Parish Sheriff's Office.

Investigators say they were able to determine that the men had made images of child pornography available for download.

If convicted, the men face up to 20 years in prison on each count of child pornography.
