A Continental Express flight from Houston to Lake Charles experiences engine trouble and ends up losing an engine during the flight. The Saab 340 with 16 passengers on board was able to land safely at Lake Charles Regional Airport at 11:45 a.m.

According to Airport Director Heath Allen, the turbo prop flight crew landed the aircraft with just one engine. The airport fire department responded. Passengers waiting on that incoming flight were rebooked onto another flight. No one was injured.
