A moving project will slow down traffic in Lafayette Parish during the day Tuesday. A crew will be hauling two massive oilfield skids from Carencro to the Vermilion River at E. Broussard Road near Milton. The skids will be moved down LA 182 beginning at 9:00 A. M. From there, the skids will turn onto Renaud Drive before heading down Ambassador Caffery, Johnston Street, and then E. Broussard Road.
The moving crews says traffic will be reduced to a crawl during the operation so workers can lift electrical lines along the route as the skids pass. The company moving the skids say they should be on Ambassador Caffery between I-10 and Johnston Street between noon at 2:00 P. M.
